Creating a Database

Microsoft Access, also known as Microsoft Office Access, is a database management system from Microsoft that combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface and software-development tools. It is a member of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, included in the Professional and higher editions or sold separately. On May 12, 2010, the current version of Microsoft Access 2010 was released by Microsoft in Office 2010; Microsoft Office Access 2007 was the prior version.
Microsoft Access stores data in its own format based on the Access Jet Database Engine. It can also import or link directly to data stored in other applications and databases.
Software developers and data architects can use Microsoft Access to develop application software, and "power users" can use it to build software applications. Like other Office applications, Access is supported by Visual Basic for Applications, an object-oriented programming language that can reference a variety of objects including DAO (Data Access Objects), ActiveX Data Objects, and many other ActiveX components. Visual objects used in forms and reports expose their methods and properties in the VBA programming environment, and VBA code modules may declare and call Windows operating-system functions.

What is an Operating System

Operating System is a Resource Manager.
Handles multiple computer resources: CPU, Internal/External memory, Processes, Tasks, Applications, Users, etc…
Manages and allocates resources to multiple users or multiple jobs running at the same time (e.g., processor time, memory space, I/O devices)
Arranges to use the computer hardware in an efficient manner (maximize throughput, minimize response time) and in a fair manner.

It is a Control Program.

Manages all the components of a complex computer system in an integrated manner.
Controls the execution of user programs and I/O devices to prevent errors and improper use of the computer resources.
Looks over and protects the computer.

It is an extended/virtual machine

An interface between the user and hardware that hides the details of the hardware (e.g., I/O).
Constructs higher-level (virtual) resources out of lower-level (physical) resources (e.g., files).
Definition: Is a collection of software enhancements, executed on the bare hardware, culminating in a high-level virtual machine that serves as an advanced programming environment.

Computer networks

Computer networks

Computer networks allow you to share files with friends, family, coworkers and customers. Before the Internet and home networks became popular, files were often shared using floppy disks. Nowadays, some people still use CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disks and USB keys for transferring their photos and videos, but networks give you more flexible options.

Network file sharing is the process of copying files from one computer to another using a live network connection. This article describes the different methods and networking technologies available to help you share files.

Tools for Effective Teaching

Effective teachers facilitate learning by making it easier for students to understand concepts or events than on their own. Effective teachers recognize that learning has occurred when there is a positive change. They are also able to note negative changes in the classroom and alter the angle of the lesson if necessary. Effective teaching is efficient teaching, meaning the students are brought from point A to point B with the least amount of difficulty.

Why use Audio Visual Aids

They are potent motivators. They lend reality to the classroom teaching and link instruction with real life. Supply concrete basis for conceptual thinking. They develop interest in students. They make learning more permanent. They offer reality of experience that stimulates self activity on the part of student. They help a continuity of thought (motion pictures) They provide right types of images. Which facilitate learning. They contribute new experiences adding to efficiency, depth and variety of learning. Technological media like the television and radio help in spreading education to remote areas They save time and make learning solid and durable.Important points to remember Clearly analyze the main theme in various relationships which are to be depicted in the chart. Visualization and illustration of ideas by rough sketches. Transferring rough sketches to chart. Coloring if necessary. Lettering the charts.Making charts effective Teacher made charts should be preferred. Students should be involved. Should be large enough. Chart should display information only about one specific area Chart should not have too much of written material It should not have too many details. It should give neat appearance. Pointer should be used.

Effective Teaching Aids

It is quite easy to make teaching aids. They are about charts and little awareness tips. The other items can also be made from best out of waste. The math teaching aids can be created out of empty match boxes. All you need is to write the number clearly and paint it up. You can stick it inside the match box. As children love the fun and play you will see how amazed they get when they see a surprise in there inside the match box. The same idea can be used for alphabets too. Saving cost you can go for the unfriendly range and also use a whiteboard to draw a particular theme. This is truly beneficial.

Little minds require a lot of stimulation. It is easy to teach them about safety and Teaching first aid to kids is simplified. Just use the simple things like cottons, empty plastic bottles and ointments. Kids usually love the doctor game and this can be played along with the kits. Other interesting teaching aid is the water cycle. Evaporation is another simplified thing when drawn on a chart. Another cost effective coloring game is the Rainbow Day. You can just make them interesting with some color game or dressing the children as a rainbow.
